2013 Toyota RAV4 Review:
"The 2013 Toyota RAV4 Limited marks a significant evolution for Toyota’s popular compact SUV, introducing a fresh design, more interior space, and updated features that elevate both comfort and convenience. As the top trim level in the lineup, the Limited offers a near-premium experience while maintaining the RAV4’s reputation for reliability and practicality. With its smooth ride, user-friendly technology, and efficient powertrain, the Limited trim strikes a strong balance between everyday functionality and upscale appeal.
This model year saw the elimination of the V6 engine option in favor of a single powertrain: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 176 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. While it may not be the quickest in the class, the engine delivers smooth and predictable performance, with enough power for city driving and highway cruising. Fuel economy is one of its strong suits, with the front-wheel-drive version returning an EPA-estimated 24 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. All-wheel drive is available for those seeking more traction in poor weather or light off-road conditions.
Inside, the RAV4 Limited offers a spacious and well-appointed cabin that feels more upscale than you might expect from a compact crossover. Materials are high in quality, with soft-touch surfaces and tasteful trim accents. The front seats are supportive and comfortable, while the rear seats offer ample space for adult passengers. One of the standout features of the 2013 redesign is the enhanced cargo space, thanks to the removal of the side-hinged rear door and the relocation of the spare tire under the floor. With the rear seats folded, the RAV4 provides impressive cargo capacity that rivals larger SUVs.
The Limited trim brings a long list of standard equipment, positioning it as a well-rounded option for buyers who want both convenience and a touch of luxury. The Entune infotainment system is intuitive, and the touchscreen interface includes navigation, smartphone app integration, and Bluetooth connectivity. Ride quality is smooth, and the suspension handles bumps and road imperfections with ease, making it a strong daily driver for a variety of conditions.

RECALL NOTICE
What is a recall:
A safety recall involving a motor vehicle or an item of motor vehicle equipment can be independently conducted by a manufacturer or ordered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). In either case, the manufacturer must file a public report describing the safety-related defect or noncompliance with a Federal motor vehicle safety standard, the involved vehicle/equipment population, the major events that resulted in the recall determination, a description of the remedy, and a schedule for the recall. NHTSA monitors each safety recall to ensure the manufacturers provide owners safe, free, and effective remedies according to the Safety Act and Federal regulations. Manufacturers are obligated to attempt to notify owners of recalled products. For vehicles, that means manufacturers merge their own records of vehicle purchasers with current state vehicle registration information. For equipment, where state registration records do not exist, manufacturers are obligated to notify their distribution chain and known purchasers of the recalled equipment. However, even if you do not receive a notification, if your vehicle, child restraint, or other item of equipment is involved in a safety recall, the manufacturer is obligated to provide a free remedy.
The 2013 Toyota RAV4 Limited succeeds in offering a refined, efficient, and versatile package with an added layer of sophistication. For buyers who want compact SUV practicality with more premium features and comfort, the Limited trim delivers a compelling choice in a highly competitive segment."
