2015 Toyota RAV4 Review:
"The 2015 Toyota RAV4 is a well-balanced compact SUV that offers a spacious interior, strong reliability, and a comfortable ride. With its practical design and fuel-efficient engine, it remains a solid choice for families and commuters alike. Powering the RAV4 is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 176 horsepower and is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The power delivery is smooth, and while it may not be the quickest SUV in its class, it provides enough performance for daily driving. Fuel efficiency is commendable, with front-wheel-drive models achieving an EPA-estimated 24 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, while all-wheel-drive versions see slightly lower numbers. The ride quality is comfortable, and the suspension does a good job absorbing road imperfections, making it well-suited for long drives.
Inside, the 2015 RAV4 features a modern and functional cabin with high-quality materials and a user-friendly layout. The spacious interior offers ample headroom and legroom for both front and rear passengers, making it an excellent option for small families or those needing extra cargo space. The rear seats recline for added comfort and can fold flat to expand the cargo area to an impressive 73.4 cubic feet, one of the largest capacities in the compact SUV segment. The dashboard is intuitively designed, with clearly labeled controls and an available touchscreen infotainment system that enhances connectivity and ease of use.
Technology and safety features are well-integrated into the RAV4, especially in higher trims like the Limited. The standard Entune infotainment system includes Bluetooth connectivity, voice recognition, and smartphone integration. Upper trims add premium features such as a navigation system, a larger touchscreen, and advanced safety technology. The 2015 model comes with a rearview camera as standard, and available safety features like blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert provide added confidence on the road. While it lacks some of the more advanced driver-assist features found in newer models, it still delivers solid safety performance and maintains Toyota’s reputation for reliability.
On the road, the RAV4 handles with ease, offering responsive steering and a composed ride. It leans more toward comfort than sportiness, making it ideal for those prioritizing a smooth driving experience over aggressive handling. All-wheel drive is available for those who need extra traction in inclement weather, and while the RAV4 is not designed for serious off-roading, it handles dirt roads and light trails with confidence. Wind and road noise are minimal, contributing to a pleasant cabin environment during long drives.
The 2015 Toyota RAV4 continues to be a competitive option in the compact SUV class, thanks to its spacious interior, strong fuel economy, and Toyota’s well-earned reputation for durability. While some competitors may offer more powerful engine options or additional luxury features, the RAV4 excels in practicality and everyday usability. It remains a great choice for buyers seeking a reliable and efficient SUV with ample cargo space and a comfortable ride."

RECALL NOTICE
What is a recall:
A safety recall involving a motor vehicle or an item of motor vehicle equipment can be independently conducted by a manufacturer or ordered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). In either case, the manufacturer must file a public report describing the safety-related defect or noncompliance with a Federal motor vehicle safety standard, the involved vehicle/equipment population, the major events that resulted in the recall determination, a description of the remedy, and a schedule for the recall. NHTSA monitors each safety recall to ensure the manufacturers provide owners safe, free, and effective remedies according to the Safety Act and Federal regulations. Manufacturers are obligated to attempt to notify owners of recalled products. For vehicles, that means manufacturers merge their own records of vehicle purchasers with current state vehicle registration information. For equipment, where state registration records do not exist, manufacturers are obligated to notify their distribution chain and known purchasers of the recalled equipment. However, even if you do not receive a notification, if your vehicle, child restraint, or other item of equipment is involved in a safety recall, the manufacturer is obligated to provide a free remedy.
