2015 Toyota Corolla Review:
"The 2015 Toyota Corolla S trim brings a welcome touch of sportiness to one of the best-selling compact sedans on the market. While the Corolla is best known for its reputation for reliability, fuel efficiency, and low ownership costs, the S trim adds visual flair and a slightly more engaging driving experience without sacrificing the practical virtues that define the model. It appeals to younger drivers or those seeking a bit more style in their daily commuter, thanks to its sharper exterior design cues and minor performance enhancements.
Under the hood, the Corolla S is powered by a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 132 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque. It’s not a high-performance engine, but it offers sufficient acceleration for city and highway driving, especially when paired with the available CVT that simulates seven shift points for a sportier feel. A 6-speed manual transmission is also available for those who want more direct control, though most buyers will likely opt for the CVT for its improved fuel economy and convenience. The ride quality remains smooth and composed, with decent handling for the class, though still geared more toward comfort than aggressive driving.
Visually, the Corolla S stands apart from the rest of the lineup with a sportier front grille, rear spoiler, chrome-tipped exhaust, and unique 17-inch alloy wheels. The enhancements are subtle but effective in making the car look more modern and athletic. Inside, the cabin benefits from the same clean and functional design found in other Corolla trims, but the S adds sport-style front seats with more bolstering, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters (on CVT models), and unique interior trim elements that lend a more dynamic feel.
In terms of technology and convenience, the Corolla S is well-equipped for its price. Standard features include a 6.1-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth connectivity, a rearview camera, and USB/iPod integration. Higher S Plus or S Premium variants can add navigation, keyless entry with push-button start, and heated seats, but even the standard S trim delivers a solid set of essentials. Cabin space is another strong point, with ample legroom in both rows and a spacious trunk, making it a practical choice for commuters, small families, or ride-share drivers.
Safety-wise, the 2015 Corolla S comes with eight airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, and traction control as standard. While it doesn’t offer the advanced driver-assistance tech available in newer models, it earned respectable crash-test ratings at the time, reinforcing Toyota’s commitment to occupant safety even in its compact offerings.
Overall, the 2015 Toyota Corolla S adds just enough personality to elevate the dependable compact into something more fun and stylish without straying from the Corolla's core strengths. It’s a smart choice for those who want Toyota's legendary reliability wrapped in a slightly more aggressive and contemporary package."

RECALL NOTICE
What is a recall:
A safety recall involving a motor vehicle or an item of motor vehicle equipment can be independently conducted by a manufacturer or ordered by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). In either case, the manufacturer must file a public report describing the safety-related defect or noncompliance with a Federal motor vehicle safety standard, the involved vehicle/equipment population, the major events that resulted in the recall determination, a description of the remedy, and a schedule for the recall. NHTSA monitors each safety recall to ensure the manufacturers provide owners safe, free, and effective remedies according to the Safety Act and Federal regulations. Manufacturers are obligated to attempt to notify owners of recalled products. For vehicles, that means manufacturers merge their own records of vehicle purchasers with current state vehicle registration information. For equipment, where state registration records do not exist, manufacturers are obligated to notify their distribution chain and known purchasers of the recalled equipment. However, even if you do not receive a notification, if your vehicle, child restraint, or other item of equipment is involved in a safety recall, the manufacturer is obligated to provide a free remedy.
